Candis Wenger
Candis Wenger has more than 15 years of experience in communications, from broadcast news and sports to marketing, public relations, research and sales. She has represented leading organizations in both the public and private sectors using her expertise in strategy, media relations and hands-on, tactical marketing communications. Candis has developed strong relationships with a wide range of contacts in business and media, which has proven invaluable to clients.

She began her career as a radio news/sports anchor and then spent four years designing graphics and providing voiceovers for live programming at ESPN. Both of these positions strengthened her ability to meet tight deadlines. Following a position in marketing and sales at the Associated Press, she later produced successful marketing and public relations campaigns for varied technology, security, financial and consumer clients at Merritt Group, Inc. and Imago Bloom, which included event management, branding, collateral and Web site development, press releases, advisories, op-eds, white papers, briefing documents and talking points as well as research and proposal creation.

Candis holds B.S and M.S. degrees, both from the Perley Isaac Reed School of Journalism at West Virginia University, where she completed minors in English and sport management. She lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia and volunteers her time to teen-related projects on a regular basis where she learns, like, the latest really cool stuff.

Shannon Sullivan
Shannon brings a solid background in public relations management and experience in government and political affairs to Jefferson Communications. From directing editorial programs to developing relationships with target reporters and editors, Shannon lends her substantial tactical expertise that has proved to be invaluable in achieving clients’ media objectives.

Prior to her work at Jefferson Communications, Shannon spent several years managing successful PR campaigns for technology companies with specialties in security software and electronics. Shannon was also the Program Director at a Baltimore City non-profit and worked for members of the Baltimore City Council and the Maryland House of Delegates and Senate. Shannon’s first foray into government came as a Legislative Assistant on Capitol Hill for two Members of Congress.

In 1997, Shannon received a B.A. in Political Science from Goucher College. Shannon, her husband and daughter, live in Baltimore City where they share a historic row home with their two dogs. A native of New England, Shannon is a die-hard Red Sox and Patriots fan.
